Here's one of my 'Ard Boy, Black Ork conversions. He ended up looking a bit like Judge Dread, so I added an eagle helmet piece from an Empire soldier to his shoulder. :)

Hi internet denizens! Welcome to our little slice of nerdom we like to call the Doom Report. This is our little family blog on our growing passion for Warhammer & other forms of nerd time wasting.

Here's a shot of Dad's very first painted Ork Boyz.

Nothing fancy going on with these guys yet, just a basic paint job. I haven't painted a mini for many a long year, so I'm still a bit rusty, but hope to get a lot better by the end of the 200 odd little plastic orks I'll be painting..

The 'theme' of these guys, for you Warhammer fiction buffs, is that they belong to an offshoot of the Bad Moons clan that live on a planet that's been lost in the misty borders of the Eye of Terror for millenia. It was there that the early Bad Moon raiders found the holy Loc Naarrgh, ancient relic of the lost Ork God Borka. Borka is the Ork god of Caustic Noise, and the Loc Naargh infused it's followers with his power, turning their eyes glowing green and giving them a penchant for unbelievably loud trash metal music.

Under the malign guidance of the Loc Naarrgh, they have built a mighty force to launch into the stars and spread the power of Rock!
